SUMMARY:Stories of Change ✦ Ashland ✦ Sacred Storytelling Tour
DESCRIPTION:You are invited...\n\nJoin storyteller Leah Lamb for a journey through stories of change—and share some of your own.\n\nChange rarely arrives on schedule. It shows up as a move\, a loss\, an ending\, a new beginning\, or a calling that will not leave you alone.\n\nTogether\, we'll share stories from our lives and from The Little Book of Change: A Storied Guide to Navigating Transitions\, Loss\, and New Beginnings.\n\nThis is a highly interactive community gathering where we'll explore what it means to be living in a quickly changing world—through story\, song\, conversation\, reflection\, and the creation of a community altar.\n\nYou don't need to come with a story to tell. We'll offer questions and prompts along the way. You are welcome to share\, listen\, reflect\, or simply receive. No one is required to share.\n\nPlease arrive in time to settle in.\n\nWe will begin promptly\, so arriving a few moments early will provide you time to add to our community altar and settle in.\n\nWHAT TO BRING:\n\nPlease bring something to feed and honor the spirit of change.\n\nThis may include flowers\, fruit or chocolates that can be shared with others\; a photograph or relic of someone who has experienced a change\; something representing a change you are moving through\; or a stone\, crystal\, or other object you'd like to place on our community altar and take home with you.\n\nTogether\, these offerings will become a living altar created by this particular community\, on this particular evening\, at this particular moment of change.\n\nAt the center of our gathering\, we will create an Altar for Change together.\n\nPlease Bring Offerings For Our Altar\n\n!A community altar of flowers\, fruit\, candles and greenery on a red cloth\n\nFor your consideration:\n\nItems that represent changes you are tending\nImages of people you love who have going through a change\nFood that nourishes the altar (and us)\, such as fruit\, chocolate\, bite sized nibbles we can share\nFeathers\, crystals\, stones\, deities...things that will support us in our exploration of change.\n\nEverything placed on the altar can go home with you.\n\nYou can also make a contribution to the altar that will travel from city to city.\n\nAbout Leah Lamb\n\nLeah Lamb is a storyteller\, educator and founder of the School for Sacred Storytelling\, where she teaches story as a tool for healing.
