Cultivating the Next GEN is a unique professional development program hosted by Oregon Aglink for K-12 educators who want to learn about agriculture and how to confidently integrate it into their classrooms. The program runs August 4th-August 6th from 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. in the Mace Building. There is a $400 non-refundable registration fee, but if attendees attend all three days they leave with a $300 micro-grant to purchase agricultural supplies and resources for their classroom. Discounted Graduate Level Credits from Southern Oregon University are available. Teachers gain first hand experiences, a vast amount of resources, and leave with a network of local farmers, ranchers and agribusiness professionals.
