Guided Ranger Hike to Buck Rock Tunnel

Join Friends of Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument rangers for a moderately strenuous hike to Buck Rock Tunnel, a historic railroad site constructed between 1883-1884 by Chinese railroad workers. This 4-mile hike (approximately 2.5 hours) explores an important archaeological site that represents the history of Chinese immigrants in Oregon and the Oregon and California Railroad route. Participants will learn about the site's history and natural features while enjoying the Monument's landscape.
