Businesses go dark for 10–15 minutes to show what SOU cuts would mean for Ashland

Southern Oregon University is at risk of bankruptcy, and today the Board of Trustees votes on a sustainability plan that could cut 30% of faculty. From 4:00–4:15 PM, Main Street businesses are being asked to put "CLOSED" signs in their windows for 10–15 minutes as a visible show of solidarity — a preview of what our downtown could look like if SOU is gutted.
