Big Dog Studio - The Art of John Pugh presents
MOONRISE KINGDOM is adventurous and tender, it radiates 1960s childhood nostalgia, and is one of my absolute favorite films. Sam, the main character, was like me, a preteen scout. Only he has an emboldened confidence that I only dreamed of at 12. He runs away with Raven-girl Suzy on a wooded Island Epic, and finds love against all odds.
With a wonderfully entertaining cast and cathartic pacing, this is Wes Anderson at his very best. I promise you Ashland magic on Saturday, at Big Dog Studio.
