David Henry Hwang's Pulitzer Prize finalist is a semi-autobiographical mockumentary that explores identity politics and the theatre world with razor-sharp wit. When the Chinese-American playwright protests the casting of a white actor in Miss Saigon, he never expects to make the same mistake himself. After accidentally casting a white actor in the lead Asian role of his own play, he scrambles to cover his tracks, spinning a web of half-truths, media frenzy and personal contradictions. Fresh off a Broadway run, this smart comedy skewers theatre, race and public image in a laugh-out-loud way.
