Robert Quattlebaum

Robert Quattlebaum is a lifelong tinkerer and maker of things. After two decades as a software engineer at Apple, Nest Labs and Google, writing code that runs on millions of devices, Robert left Google in 2024 to build physical objects from start to finish.

Robert's Ashland studio, Voria Labs, makes objects at the intersection of art, technology and interactive design. Its first, Lumanoi, is a wall-mounted interactive light sculpture; Robert did everything from the woodworking, circuit design and board layout to the software, hand-proximity sensing and packaging.
