Oregon Cabaret Theatre presents

Chicago is a 1975 American musical set in Jazz-Age Chicago. It features music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse. The show is based on a 1926 play by Maurine Dallas Watkins about real-life criminals and crimes she reported on. The musical uses the story of two women accused of murder to satirize corruption in the criminal justice system and the public's fascination with the idea of the "celebrity criminal".
