Siskiyou Crest Artist in Residence presents
ScienceWorks hosts 2026 Siskiyou Crest Artist in Residence Cody Markelz for a free presentation and Q&A. A Northern California artist, scientist, and outdoorsman, Markelz spent his residency at the historic Acorn Woman Lookout in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, creating gouache paintings, sketches, and field journals comparing the Siskiyou Crest and Mount Shasta regions.
Join him as he shares how art, science, and wild landscapes intersect. Copies of his new illustrated zine will be available at the event.
